The California Police Chiefs Association was created by chiefs for chiefs and has since then evolved into what we are today. A voice and resource of choice for California’s law enforcement leaders. 

What started out as a regional meeting for municipal police chiefs has grown to a state-wide association with 337 active municipal police chief members.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES

Our membership year begins July 1st and ends on June 30th.

CHIEF

Chief membership is available to Police Chiefs in municipal police agencies.
Our Chief of Police membership is based upon agency size.

ASSOCIATE

Associate membership is available to sworn management and command staff level personnel in municipal police agencies. 
$155 annually

AFFILIATE

Our Affiliate membership is a special category of membership reserved for individuals who are not current municipal chiefs of police but do hold the rank of chief of police or equivalent in the following law enforcement categories – transportation, school, and campus. An affiliate member must be a full-time, paid, sworn officer with full peace officer powers as specified in Section832 of the Penal Code and not employed by a county law enforcement agency. 
$500 Annually

RETIRED

Retired membership is reserved for those that were previous members of Cal Chiefs but are now retired. 
$50 annually
